Update, 13 May, 2016

Victoria Hall is now closed and the traders have now moved to the Settle Social Club from May 24th, 2016.

There is ample parking to the rear of the Social Club via its own car park and the normal council car park.

Hi there and thanks for stopping by Settle Market's very own website, you are most welcome!

As regulars on market day will know Tuesday often brings in many coaches, here is a link to a publication that informs the coach travel and retail trade about opportunities and places to visit. Settle Market is featured in the latest here.

After more than 35 years Trader Trevor Smith, selling houswares, food, sweets, biscuits, has decided to call it a day. He has now opened a shop at the former Settle Library. We wish him all the best in his new venture.

Mal on the tools outside Boots Chemist has also left due to personal reasons.

The Town Council are in discussions with other traders to step into the spaces vacated.

Settle Street Market in North Yorkshire, is open 52 weeks a year, every Tuesday unless that day falls on a public holiday, e.g., Christmas Day, New Years Day.

On this day the town buzzes with activity with people visiting from miles around where they can find a wide variety of traders with stalls offering quality goods at keen prices, be it fruit and veg, bread and cheese, plants, food and drinks as well as watch batteries, straps, tools, CDs & DVDs, plants, shoes, Ladies and Gents clothing, fish, the list goes on and on.

From where they browse.

We are updating some of the site with new pics of traders and their details, especially the Victoria Hall traders, stay tuned.

Christine Davies has now retired after a long and fruitful time at the helm of Settle Market operations.

She has worked tirelessly for both traders and Settle Council she will be remembered for her easy going & mild mannered attitude whilst getting the job done.

Christine Davies

All the traders would like to wish her a fond farewell and a very happy retirement and hope that they will find something they can do on a Tuesday that is as satisfying as being cold/warm/ hot/ colder/freezing/ wet/wetter.

Replacing Christine is Marjorie Tindale (left) who will be assisted by the Settle Town Council Clerk Rebecca Hill, we wish them the very best of luck.

Please have a browse around both on the market if you're in the Dales or have a look on our website to see whats on offer if you are planning a visit.

The main market square is a hive of activity and you are sure to find both something you need and want.
