Update: May 20, 2013

Hi there and thanks for stopping by Settle Market's very own website, you are most welcome!

Both Settle Street Market and Victoria Hall indoor market, in North Yorkshire, are open 52 weeks a year, every Tuesday unless that day falls on a public holiday, e.g., Christmas Day, New Years Day.

On this day the town buzzes with activity with people visiting from miles around where they can find a wide variety of traders with stalls offering quality goods at keen prices, be it fruit and veg, bread and cheese, plants, food and drinks as well as watch batteries, straps, tools, CDs & DVDs, plants, shoes, Ladies and Gents clothing, fish, the list goes on and on.

News, May 2013

Two people are leaving us at Easter. After more than 20 years at the helm, Settle Market Superintendant Christine Davies is to retire from the role at the end of June 2013, she has agreed to stay on to show the ropes to her successor.

She has worked tirelessly for both traders and Settle Council she will be remembered for her easy going & mild mannered attitude whilst getting the job done.

Christine Davies

Fred and Wif Ann.

Also retiring is Fred, handyman, who helped out on the market for more than 7 years.

All the traders would like to wish them all a very happy retirement and hope that they will find something they can do on a Tuesday that is as satisfying as being cold/warm/hot/colder/freezing/wet/wetter.

Please have a browse around both on the market if you're in the Dales or have a look on our website to see whats on offer if you are planning a visit.

The main market square is a hive of activity and you are sure to find both something you need and want. If it's raining why not nip down the ginnels and cobbled alleyways and shop under cover at the Victoria Hall Centre and Theatre which houses the indoor market every Tuesday.
